Bob Taylor is the creative power behind Taylor guitars and he has been responsible for many innovations since the company was formed. The current crop of guitars features revolutionary neck technology which allows the neck to be set with tremendous accuracy thus ensuring fantastic playability. As well as their distinctive unplugged sound, Taylor guitars are renowned for the quality of the plugged-in sound through innovations such as the Expression pick-up system. Freshman guitars are the brainchild of Sean Kelly, and the company has risen to prominence in the UK acoustic market, with recognition from all the major guitar magazines. Norman guitars are built in La Patrie, Quebec, Canada. Norman guitars have been produced since the 1970s and create excellent value guitars with high quality materials. We have had Robert Godin (the owner of Godin guitars) in the shop for a master class on his guitars and he knows an awful lot about making a guitar sound great by matching different woods to create a great instrument.

Garrison is a Canadian company founded by Chris Griffiths. Garrison guitars feature a unique Active Bracing system which uses a composite material to form the top bracing of the guitar in one piece. With the solid tops on all Garrison guitars, the Active bracing is remarkably efficient at converting the vibrating top into sounds. These guitars sound really good; all of them feature top quality Canadian woods, and the higher -end G series are made in Canada, and feature other innovations such as the Buzz Feiten tuning system.

These really are exceptional guitars. Renowned UK Luthier Patrick Eggle (of Eggle guitars fame) has designed this brand and is overseeing every aspect of production. Apart from top quality materials, you also get top quality manufacturing processes such as beautifully scalloped bracing which adds significantly to the tonal response.
