Fender set the standard (invented it, actually!) more than five decades ago with an elegantly enduring design for an innovative instrument that transformed popular music.

Such simple elegance continues today. Our Standard Precision Bass guitar features a comfort-contoured body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, single split-coil hum-canceling pickup and knurled chrome American Precision Bass knobs.

The five string version of the world's best selling bass incorporates all the features of the original Jazz Bass. Including the S-1 switching system, meaning you can get both P Bass and J Bass tones from one instrument. With the S-1 switch engaged, the pickups switch from parallel to series, giving the bass almost a humbucking, fatter sound. The guitar features a solid ash or alder body depending on colour, and a graphite reinforced, modern 'C' shape maple neck with a satin polyurethane finish, available with a maple or rosewood fingerboard. the model also features a strings through body bridge for a richer tone. available in three colour sunbust, black, chrome red and chrome silver. We stock the guitar in chrome silver with a rosewood fingerboard.

Since its inception in 1951, the P Bass has undergone many transformations, but the qualities that made the P Bass great in the '50's and '60's remain intact in the American series models: unmistakable tone, toughness and playability. The American P Bass has a vintage body radius and contour, which gives it a classic Fender vibe and feel. Featuring a premium ash or alder body (depending on the finish) for better tone and sustain, the guitar also incorporates maple and rosewood fingerboards with detailed fret and nut work, and the classic P Bass pickup with S-1 switching. The American series bass neck features Posiflex neck support rods, and the fingerboards have rolled edges, giving them a comfortable, broken in feel. We stock the guitar in black with a rosewood neck.

The upgraded American Deluxe Jazz Bass Ash guitar captures the spirit of Fender innovation with its three-band active EQ, pair of Samarium™ Cobalt Noiseless Jazz Bass pickups and 18-volt power supply.

This gorgeous ash-body bass has a modern C-shaped, graphite-reinforced maple neck with a contoured heel (for easy access to upper frets), five-bolt neck plate, maple or rosewood rolled-edge fingerboard, abalone dot inlays and highly detailed nut and fret work. Other features include chrome hardware, a variety of pickguards (see specifications), deluxe chrome-plated steel bridge plate (string-through-body or top-load) with nickel-plated brass saddles, and Fender/Schaller® Deluxe Lite-Bass tuning machines.
