This is a great playing and sounding example of a classic bass design. Manufactured in 2008 and sold with minimal wear this bass easily rates a 9.5/10 condition. The bass is sold with the original care kit and a Warwick hard case rather than the usual gigbag the basses are shipped with.

Full, deep, powerful and very comfortable, an outstanding 5 string instrument.

If the entire line of Warwick basses is like a family at a party, then the Corvette $$ is the latest in-law who ate all the food, drank all the booze and is now in the coat closet with not one, but two of the wait staff! You know the type - a complete and utter beast who only listens to the one person in the family who can control it. Yeah...the Double $$ is that wild.

Even though it cosmetically resembles other Corvette models, the Double $$ gets its outrageous attitude and powerful identity from its unique pickup and electronics package. There are two passive MEC humbuckers nestled closely in the center of the body, completely covering the legendary sweet-spot that so many basses miss completely. But this beast has a sensitive side too, which can be accessed via the two mini 3-way switches that allow you to coil tap each humbucker in a variety if ways (hum canceling parallel/series, single coil). To give the Double $$ more flexibility, the passive pickups are matched to a MEC 2-band preamp, making this behemoth a true passive/active hybrid bass " the best of both worlds.

This one has a lovely open grain to the swamp ash, this is one of the first we have in stock with the new thinner neck profile too. Growl away!

The body of the Corvette Standard consists of two or three pieces of bubinga. With its shape, ergonomics and sound the Corvette Standard satisfies the aspirations of the most demanding bass players.

The switchable, active MEC 2-way electronics and the MEC pickup combination complement one another. Three control knobs provide flexible tone control, in the studio as well as on stage. The highly sensitive dynamic response of the Corvette Standard lets you articulate the most gentle of nuances or slap it for crisp, fat basslines. Additionally, a 4-string passive configuration is available with single coil J/J pickups.

This bass is a second hand model from 1997. Basses from this era have Wenge made necks instead of the current standard wood Ovangkol. The wood does give the bass a more scooped tone compared to ovangkol. It comes supplied with a gigbag and is in gigged but fair condition. It is a bolt on streamer with an active two band EQ and a PJ pickup configuration. The colour is honey violin oil finish. Plays and sounds great!

This bass is part of a limited run for the UK only. The bass is a Corvette double buck 5 string but differs from the standard spec in that it has a Zebrano top (thicker than standard special tops for corvettes) with a matching headstock. Comes complete with certificate, care kit and premium line gigbag. Gorgeous.
